You run a home poker game over WiFi by having phones connect directly to each other on the same local network — one person hosts, everyone else scans a QR code to join, and no internet, app-store download, or physical chips are needed. Blinds, side pots, and payouts are handled automatically, so you're dealing within a minute.
Why WiFi + phones beats the usual setup
- No physical kit — no chip case or deck to find and clean up.
- No downloads — everyone opens a web page; it even installs to the home screen.
- No server or accounts — phones talk directly over your local network.
- No slow-downs — blinds, side pots, and payouts are automatic.
Setting up your table
- Get on one network. Any shared WiFi works; if there's none, one person hosts a hotspot. No internet is used during play.
- Host the table. One phone taps Host, sets the buy-in, blinds, and optional ante.
- Seat your players. Each guest taps Join and scans the host's QR code — one scan each, up to 10 players.
- Deal. Start the hand and play with clear Fold / Check / Call / Raise controls and a per-turn timer to keep things moving.
Keeping the night smooth
A few features make a home game nicer: a session leaderboard so everyone can see who's winning, a scrollable hand history, in-game chat and emoji, sound cues for your turn, and easy rebuys/top-ups between hands. And if someone's phone dies or the host has to step away, the game state is mirrored to every phone — the host can resume, or another phone takes over, so the night keeps going.
