How to Play Poker Without Chips

Found a deck but no chips? Or no chips and no deck? You can play poker without chips by letting your phones do the banking. Every player gets a digital stack and the app handles the money — so nobody counts, colors up, or argues about the pot.
The problem with "we have no chips"
Improvising chips with coins, matchsticks, or scraps of paper is slow and error-prone. Making change for blinds, building side pots when someone's all-in, and splitting a tied pot fairly is exactly the fiddly bookkeeping that ruins the pace of a home game.
Let the phones be the chips
With Poker Offline, each player has a chip stack on their own screen. When you bet, call, or raise, chips move automatically. The app calculates:
- Blinds and antes posted every hand.
- Main and side pots when one or more players are all-in for different amounts.
- Split pots — including who gets the odd chip.
- Payouts to the winner(s), with the winning hand named.
Your remaining chips are always shown clearly, and a session leaderboard tracks who's up and down across the night.
Running out? Just top up
Busted a stack? Between hands the host can rebuy, top up, or add on chips for any player in a couple of taps — no rummaging for more physical chips.
How to set it up
- Get everyone on the same WiFi (a hotspot is fine — no internet needed).
- One person taps Host and sets the buy-in and blinds.
- Everyone else scans the QR code to join.
- Deal — the chips take care of themselves.
