How to Play Poker Without Cards

Updated August 10, 2026

Texas Hold'em · digital deck · private hole cards

No deck of cards on hand? You can still play a full game. Play poker without cards by letting your phones deal a fair, shuffled digital deck — each player sees only their own hole cards, and the board is shown to everyone.

A real shuffle, not a gimmick

The deck is shuffled with a cryptographically secure random generator, so the order is genuinely unpredictable — no patterns, no favoring anyone. Cards are then dealt one per phone, exactly like a live deal.

Your cards stay yours

Your two hole cards appear only on your own device, and they're hidden by default — tap to peek, tap again to hide so the person beside you can't glance over. Hands are only revealed at showdown, when the winner and the winning hand (e.g. "Full House") are shown to the table.

Everything a physical deck does — handled for you

Set it up in a minute

  1. Put every phone on the same WiFi (a hotspot works — no internet needed).
  2. One person taps Host; the rest scan the QR code to join.
  3. Tap Start hand and the deck is dealt automatically.
